APEX amplifier modules provide an excellent foundation for 2-way and 3-way active / self-powered speakers and rackmount power amplifiers for fixed installation in venues ranging from houses of worship and theatres to airports and sports venues. Our amp modules are also perfect for use in PA speakers and amplifiers destined for live touring and concert venue applications.
2-Way Speakers
The APEX SMA-1 amplifier module is the ideal option for 2-way active speakers. The module’s single compact PCBA incorporates a switch mode power supply, two Class-D amplifiers, Analog Devices ADAU1462 DSP supported by high performance AKM Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog conversion stages and all the accompanying analog circuitry.
We offer a host of customisation options, so you stay in control of the look and feel of your brand. Control and connector layouts can be tailored to your needs, with the option to include simple LED feedback or a full graphic display. Additional input sources, Bluetooth and network audio can all be accommodated too.
The integrated high-performance DSP enables the easy implementation of custom filter algorithms, so you can create the sound signature of your speaker without having to worry about the hardware.
3-Way Speakers
The Apex SMA-2 four channel amplifier module was specifically created for multi-way loudspeakers and subwoofers. The highly compact design is capable of delivering up to 3000W on a single 4 Ohm channel, granting the highest power available for driving all speakers on multi-way systems. The module’s single PCBA combines a switch mode power supply, two class D power amplifiers, a powerful Analog Devices ADAU1462 DSP supported by high performance AKM Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog conversion stages and all accompanying analog circuitry.
Connector and control layouts can be customised to fit your brand and application, and extra mic inputs, Bluetooth and network audio can all be added to your product.

Rackmount Power Amplifiers
The Apex SMA-2 amplifier module is equally well suited to use in 4 channel Class-D power amplifiers for live sound and fixed installation. The module is highly compact and multiple units can be used to achieve power ratings from 4x 350W to 4x 3000W. The module’s single PCBA combines a switch mode power supply, two Class-D power amplifiers, a powerful Analog Devices ADAU1462 DSP supported by high performance AKM Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog conversion stages and all accompanying analog circuitry.
